Western blotting analysis using anti-DYKDDDDK-Tag antibody (Cat#T002). Recombinant multi-tag protein (5 ng) in E. coli were loaded and separated by SDS-PAGE. The blot was incubated with anti-DYKDDDDK-Tag antibody (Cat#T002, 1:10,000) and HRP-conjugated goat anti-mouse secondary antibody (Cat#101, 1:20,000) respectively. Background The FLAG tag is a short peptide sequence (DYKDDDDK) commonly used in molecular biology to facilitate the detection and purification of recombinant proteins. Its small size minimizes interference with protein function and can be specifically recognized by anti-FLAG tag antibodies. FLAG is a registered trademark of Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany.
